2025 HPAI UPDATE: Due to the increase in cases of highly pathogenic avian influenza (bird flu), we are tightening our biosecurity measures to prevent the spread of disease and ensure the safety of our sanctuary residents. Before attending EACH work party, all volunteers must attest that they have not had contact with any domestic or wild birds in the past 14 days. This includes visiting parks or other areas where wild waterfowl are present. We will be reaching out to volunteers weekly to confirm this information. Please make sure you respond to our messages before showing up for any work party.

We host volunteer work parties almost every weekend in Fall City, WA. Our upcoming work party event dates and times can be found on Facebook. Please RSVP or contact us if you’d like to attend. Come by for a few hours or stay for the entire party!

We’re also able to accommodate corporate group volunteer events with a maximum of 15 volunteers on weekdays with enough advance notice. If you’d like to schedule a group volunteer day, please contact us via email.

Work parties take place outdoors with ample space for social distancing. We ask volunteers to follow our sanitization and biosecurity protocols at all times for the safety of our residents. Please refrain from attending work parties if you have COVID-19 symptoms, have been in close contact with someone experiencing COVID-19 symptoms in the last 14 days, or have had a positive test for COVID-19 within the last 10 days.

All volunteers must sign a liability waiver prior to engaging in volunteer activities. Minors under 18 years of age are welcome to volunteer alongside a parent or legal guardian. Please submit your liability waiver and/or minor liability waiver prior to arriving at the sanctuary.

Note that our physical address is private. First time volunteers will receive directions after submitting a liability waiver.
