These cards were designed by our friend Bird of Liberation Design. They’re printed on thick glossy 4″ x 6″ card stock. The fronts feature images of Rooster Haus Rescue residents and friends, and the backs include fun facts and cute poems, plus empty space to write a message to your lovebird. Proceeds from these cards will support the ongoing care of our sanctuary residents.

Albert: “Love You This Much” This card sponsors RHR resident Albert. Al’s personality is as big and bright as his feathers. His favorite place to perch is near the kitchen window where he waits for his daily greens. Al found his way to RHR in 2017 after being dumped in the woods to fend for himself and now lives in our woods where we fend for him.
Bigfoot: “Love At First Sighting” This card sponsors RHR resident Bigfoot. After days of searching in the rough PNW terrain, it was love at first sighting when we captured the real Bigfoot and then he quickly captured all of our hearts. Bigfoot, in all of his hunchbacked, feathery glory, now resides at RHR where he burps, “I love roo” to his partner Trudy. Ahh, roo-mance.
Buzz: “Love Bird” This card sponsors Rooster Haus Rescue resident Buzz who was rescued after being abused and dumped in 2018. Buzz is an enthusiastic boy with a zest for life. He’s known for sporting the biggest crow and the best kicks to help protect his feet which suffered third-degree burns and require extra protection.
Carl & Cogburn: “Pecking Booth” This card sponsors RHR residents Carl & Cogburn who are the hottest item amongst their rooster flock of 8. They are partners in crime who can always be found by one another’s side. Carl & Cogburn are some of the few roosters who have survived the trend of backyard chicken keeping and now live happily ever after together at RHR.
Cluckey, Peppy, & Pauline: “Galentines” This card supports RHR residents and features friends of RHR, Cluckey, Peppy & Pauline. These three Perch Potatoes may be from the midwest but you’ll rarely find them outside unless it’s warm and sunny. Just like potatoes, they are perfect. They are the ultimate galentines as they are the best of spuds!
Loons: “Coo Coo For You” This card sponsors Rooster Haus Rescue resident Loons. All the way from the Big Apple, Loons has flirted his way to be the apple of our eye. Loons spends his days dancing while he serenades his friends and family with his coos.
Manny & Si: “Palentines” This card sponsors RHR residents Manny & Si. Voted “Most Friendly” by every RHR visitor, Manny & Si are two birds of a feather who flock together. Manny does his flirty dance, Si wears the spotted pants. Walk into their run and towards you they will prance!
Observational O. Cluckington: “Forever Valentine” This card sponsors RHR resident Observational O. Cluckington who makes the greatest observations. When you look into his eyes you can tell he is wise. The self-worth he knows how to recognize is why he knows his love is a prize.
Skeeter & Cricket: “Ducking Love You” This card sponsors RHR residents Skeeter & Cricket and we ducking love the queer love between them. Cricket came to RHR after being attacked by a predator and quickly needed her leg amputated. Shortly after, along came Skeeter who immediately swept her off of her foot.
Spicoli: “Love Roo” This card sponsors Rooster Haus Rescue resident Spicoli. Roses are red. Violets are blue. Spicoli’s mullet is rockin’, and so are roo!
